“World of Color Happiness!” A New Nighttime Spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park
We can’t wait for the all-new “World of Color” show, inspired by Walt Disney’s opening day dedication from seven decades ago: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!”
This spectacular nighttime experience will explore happiness through a kaleidoscope of emotions, hosted by Joy and the other Emotions from Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2. Along the way, the Emotions will bring music and moments from beloved films to life, including Turning Red, The Incredibles, A Goofy Movie, Tangled, Encanto, and many more from Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
“World of Color Happiness!” will transform Paradise Bay with dazzling fountains, dynamic lighting, colorful lasers, fog, and dramatic flame effects. The show is an interactive joyride where guests are encouraged to sing and dance along! In addition to classic Disney songs, Boyz II Men will lend their legendary R&B vocals in a rendition of “Rainbow Connection,” and FITZ—frontman of multi-platinum hitmakers Fitz and the Tantrums—will debut an all-new song written just for World of Color called “Makes Me Wanna Move.”
Before the show even begins, The Muppets will help set the tone for the night! With the guidance of Joe the Legal Weasel, more than a dozen Muppets will deliver a special message through vivid projections and expressive fountains—just one more reason to arrive early!
Paint the Night Parade Returns! at Disneyland Park
We are thrilled to share that the beloved “Paint the Night” Parade is making its grand return to Disneyland Park for the 70th anniversary celebration! This dazzling nighttime parade will light up Main Street, U.S.A., with breathtaking color and more than a million brilliant LED lights.
Mickey Mouse will once again use his vivid imagination to harness the power of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust and bring Disney dreams to life, painting the night with beloved characters and stories from both Pixar and Disney Animation. Expect to see familiar faces from Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more!
This fan-favorite parade is filled with innovative floats, vibrant costumes, incredible special effects, unforgettable music, and energetic performances. Plus, Anna and Elsa will rejoin the parade on the cherished Frozen-inspired float, marking its return to Main Street, U.S.A. for the first time since the parade’s original run!
Wondrous Journeys Returns to Disneyland Park
“Wondrous Journeys” is making its return to Disneyland Park for the 70th anniversary celebration! At night, Disneyland will transform into a magnificent canvas, celebrating the legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios classics that have inspired Walt Disney’s original magic kingdom.
Throughout this beloved nighttime spectacular, you’ll embark on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling, and heart as you experience moments from Hercules, The Princess and the Frog, Peter Pan, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Moana, Encanto, and more!
This breathtaking show features state-of-the-art projection effects that bring magic to life across Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world,” and the Rivers of America. On select nights, the experience becomes even more magical with fireworks, creating an unforgettable celebration of Disney’s storytelling legacy!
"Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!" at Disney California Adventure Park
The excitement continues at Disney California Adventure Park with the return of “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” This lively daytime parade fills the streets with energetic music, vibrant floats, and more than two dozen favorite characters from Pixar Animation Studios films, including Luca, Turning Red, Up, and more. The parade highlights heartwarming stories of friendship, adventure, and the connections that bring Pixar characters together in unforgettable ways. We enjoyed this during our team trip to Pixar Fest last summer, and we can’t wait to see it return for the 70th anniversary celebration!
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade
A new character cavalcade is making its way down Disneyland Park’s parade route with “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade”! This high-energy experience invites guests to dance and clap along as favorite characters celebrate seven decades of happiness. Expect to see Goofy and Max sporting their 70th anniversary attire, along with rare character appearances from Duffy and ShellieMay, the fluffy and charming teddy bears from Duffy and Friends! This lively procession is sure to bring smiles as it adds even more fun to the celebration.
Mickey and Friends’ New 70th Attire
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals are getting dressed for the occasion! In Town Square at Disneyland Park, guests can meet Mickey and friends sporting custom-designed outfits created exclusively for the 70th anniversary celebration. Once inside Disneyland Park, Floral Mickey will be blooming with vibrant flowers, setting the scene for this milestone celebration. Along Main Street, U.S.A., you’ll find the entire street adorned with multi-colored banners and festive bunting, adding to the cheerful atmosphere. In Town Square, a special anniversary installation featuring Mickey and Minnie will serve as a must-see centerpiece of the celebration.
At the heart of the park, Sleeping Beauty Castle will shine with an elegant anniversary medallion, making it even more picture-perfect for this special occasion.
Over in Disney California Adventure Park, the historic Carthay Circle Restaurant will be dressed in 70th-anniversary colors. As night falls, the building will come alive with a magical moment of music, lights, and projections—all set to the tune of “Celebrate Happy.” This dazzling display will illuminate Buena Vista Street with twinkling lights, bursts of color, and dynamic effects, inviting everyone to join in the celebration.

As part of the 70th-anniversary celebration, Disneyland Resort is adding special enhancements to some of its most beloved attractions!
In “it’s a small world,” Miguel & Dante Join the Fun! Over in the Mexico scene of “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Park, Miguel and his loyal alebrije, Dante, from Disney and Pixar’s Coco, will be joining the children in song! Set against the backdrop of a breathtaking marigold bridge, this heartwarming addition will debut when the attraction reopens on April 25, 2025.
Toy Story Midway Mania! Joins the Celebration. Over in Disney California Adventure, the toys are getting in on the fun! Keep an eye out for special 70th-anniversary details woven into Toy Story Midway Mania! as you compete for the highest score in this carnival-inspired game.
